Make Money With Google and Keyword Websites
I was talking with a friend of mine today who also has a strong entrepreneurial spirit in him. He has a side business on the Web which sells some pretty specific products to a small to medium sized market. He has done well but lately the site has cost him too much to promote. The cost of acquiring a lead using Google AdWords drains all his profit and he’s not making much. I know that if his cost of getting a sale was nothing, he’d be doing rather well.
I tried to explain keyword websites to him and he sort of got it. I think he’s a bit stuck thinking in a more traditional way. This concept is somewhat new, so I thought I’d write a bit about keyword websites in this post.
The concept of keyword based websites hit me when I found myself researching things on the Web. For instance, I needed a new brush head for my Sonicare electric toothbrush. I had an old model and needed to know if I could still get a brush head for it. I searched and searched but found little information so I gave up and never brushed my teeth again. No, actually I ended up going back to a regular toothbrush for a while until my mom later told me which one worked for her.
I got to thinking… how many other people were in the same boat as I was? What would it take to create a small website that just dealt with that topic. I could give the answer to what I was looking for and also cover related topics. I could probably run some Google AdSense ads on the site and make a little cash if my site ranked well. I’m a web designer and I know SEO (search engine optimization), so why not give it a try? So I did.
Picking the Right Keywords is SO Important – Get Help
I set up a few sites like that (it turned out that I didn’t do one about electric toothbrush heads but now I see that keyword wouldn’t have worked too well because of name brand domination). Those keyword sites didn’t do too well. I tried and failed but that’s fine – I knew what not to do now.
After that, well… actually during that time, I found some websites that talked about the topic of niche keyword websites and saw that some people were doing well at it. But how? What were they doing that I missed? Well, I thought I’d try again but before I walked down that road, I found a course by two guys who were doing well at keyword websites. At that time, it was about $600 to get into it but I figured it was worth my time to do it so I did.
The result is that having mentors to help you is just awesome. They know what works because they, too, have tried and failed a bunch of times. But after many failures, you start to get it. You will have some success and it’ll eventually fall in line and you’ll get what you’re after.
I’m almost 2 months into it and have a few sites set up. I’m working on adding content and getting them ranked high in Google. Because I went through their program, found keywords that were worth my time to pursue with low competition, I’m on my way to setting up sites with good content that will rank high and get traffic.
How Does This Work With Google?
Am I tricking Google with these sites? No, not at all. It’s what they want. They want to give people searching the best sites that are out there. By doing research and becoming the “authority” on a topic, Google will like your site and send people to you. That’s how it works. You have to think like Google.

I’m not going to lie, it’s work. If you want this to work, you’ll need to dedicate time to it. For a while, you will not see results. A lot of people can’t handle that and quit. If you keep working at it and do exactly what they tell you, it’ll work. I’ve had some sites that I own just take off and make good money. I know what they’re teaching is right on target. You have to be patient though and work at it. You’ll probably spend 20 hours or so on one site but eventually, you’ll see passive income. Set up 5 or so of these and hey, your mortgage is paid for… really! Month after month. Not bad for 100 hours of work.
