You think you’ve found a great keyword and then you get a surprise.
I found one that was good and is making money but is just hard to write about. There’s virtually no content out there or even really anything to write about… or so I thought. As I was searching around for content, I found someone who had some good ideas for content and obviously knew more about the subject than I did and I found them linking to a page for that keyword. I guess I sort of thought I’d be the only one targeting that one but no way. It’s true – Court or Mark said it the other night… there are probably hundreds or maybe even thousands of other people targeting the same keywords. The difference is, will they follow through and do it the right way. Will they just go a little way and quit or really work at it? That’s the difference between what I’m doing and what this other guy I found is doing. I’m working at it quite a bit more -persistence!
So I’ll look through his content and use it to give me ideas so that I can create unique content… which is legit, by the way.
It’s just kind of funny that I thought I had an obscure little keyword and I found others working at it as well – albeit, not as hard as I am. Interesting.
